The IAPG Houston and the IAPG hosted the 5th edition of Shale in Argentina, bringing together government representatives, industry leaders, and energy professionals to discuss Vaca Muerta’s continued growth and access to global markets. The event explored key opportunities and challenges across the energy value chain, including upstream development, infrastructure, LNG, NGLs, and exports, highlighting the importance of collaboration in Argentina’s energy future.

Franco Tobares, IAPG Houston and Fulbright Scholar, shares a technical article exploring the opportunities that expanded access to growing datasets offers the oil and gas industry. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Engineering Management and Leadership at Rice University.

A group of our esteemed board members, including María Marta Miná, Joe Amador, William J. Hitters, Mariano Clerici Guerrico, had the privilege of hosting a distinguished delegation from Argentina. This delegation was comprised of representatives from three notable organizations: YPF, Y-TEC, and AESA. YPF, renowned as Argentina’s premier energy conglomerate, commands a significant presence within the nation’s energy sector.
