The IAPG Houston held its Annual General Assembly on August 17, 2024. During the meeting, Mrs. Maria Marta Mina, our outgoing President, reviewed the key milestones achieved during the 2023-2024 period and officially passed the baton to Joe Amador, our incoming President. The new Board of Directors was also formalized, and Deputy Directors were integrated into IAPG Houston’s governance structure.
The 2023-2024 period was a dynamic time for the IAPG Houston. We further strengthened ties with Argentina’s oil and gas sector, , actively supporting the development of young talent and fostering technical collaboration.
Through IAPG Houston’s sponsorship and collaboration with Fulbright, we awarded five scholarships to students and young professionals eager to enhance their skills in the energy sector. Additionally, IAPG Houston hosted a series of technical webinars focusing on the potential for Enhanced Oil Recovery in Argentina, and the possible analogies between the deepwater subsurface of West Africa and Latin America.
IAPG Houston also served as a platform for YPF to share its ambitious growth plans, featuring a presentation by newly appointed CEO Horacio Marín on the 4×4 plan. A few weeks later, YPF’s VP of Strategy and Business Development, Max Westen, unveiled Project Andes—a significant milestone in the company’s history that involves a complete redesign of its upstream portfolio.
We would like to express our gratitude to our sponsors for their unwavering support. Their commitment to our organization enables us to fulfill our mission and inspires us to strive for an even more impactful 2024-2025.
