The “Strategic Dialogue on LNG” session truly lived up to its theme, bringing together national and provincial leaders, alongside YPF, to highlight the coordinated efforts driving Argentina’s LNG export ambitions.
We kicked off the event with opening remarks from Richard J. Spies (President, IAPG Houston) and Ernesto López Anadón (President, IAPG), who provided valuable context on the role of both organizations in supporting the energy dialogue. Daniel González, Vice Minister of Energy & Mining, followed with a compelling overview of Argentina’s national strategy and the ongoing transformation of its energy ecosystem.
Our keynote speaker, Mr. Horacio Marín, President & CEO of YPF, shared key milestones required for the next phases of Argentina’s LNG project to move forward. He also highlighted the significant efficiency gains achieved across YPF’s upstream and downstream operations.
We were also honored to host Governors Rolando Figueroa (Neuquén) and Alberto Weretilneck (Río Negro). In a dynamic panel discussion, they explained how their provinces are working in close coordination with industry and the national government to position Argentina as a competitive player in global LNG markets.
The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session featuring both Governors and Mr. Marín, fostering a meaningful exchange with the audience.
A sincere thank you to all our speakers for sharing their valuable insights and contributing to such a rich and engaging discussion. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Cristina Tosonotti, Consul General of Argentina to the United States in Houston, for honoring us with her presence.
We also extend our gratitude to our sponsors, whose support makes these conversations possible.
