We were honored to host an exclusive breakfast featuring the Argentine Ambassador in the United States, Mr. Jorge Argüello. The Ambassador delivered prepared remarks and answered questions from the audience, which included senior executives of the country’s largest upstream operators and energy service companies. The visit to Houston was part of a broader visit that also included meeting with Texas Governor Greg Abbott in Austin. This was the Ambassador’s first official visit outside of Washington, D.C., since he received his posting in early 2020, which reflects the importance of the relationship Argentina has with Texas in general and Houston in particular. Highlights of the visit were published in the Embassy’s newsletter.
At the event, we were pleased to present a plaque to the outgoing Consul General, Gabriel Volpi, in appreciation for his continuous support to the IAPG Houston.
