IAPG Houston had the pleasure of hosting a networking reception in Houston for an incredible group of young professionals and students from the oil and gas industry in both Argentina and the United States.
This group of young professionals recently traveled from Argentina as part of the Global Immersion Program, now in its second edition. The program aims to expose high-potential talent to the energy, technology, and education sectors in the United States, and is proudly sponsored by Pan American Energy, CGC, Honeywell, Techint E&C, Tecpetrol, and Tenaris.
During the event, this year’s Global Immersion Program cohort connected with members of IAPG Houston’s Young Professionals community, building relationships that strengthen international collaboration and professional growth in our industry.
We were also honored to welcome the two student teams from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) and the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) that represented Argentina at the SPE Petrobowl competition.
Congratulations to the UBA team for being crowned champions of the 2025 PetroBowl! An outstanding achievement that makes the entire community proud.
The event was a fantastic opportunity to network, exchange professional and academic insights, and celebrate the PetroBowl champions together.
A special thank-you to Richard Spies (President, IAPG Houston), Carola Rawson (Vice President), and members of the Board of Directors of IAPG Houston for representing our institution and sharing their valuable career experiences in the oil & gas industry.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to Victoria Traverso and Mercedes Vadillo for including us in the busy schedule of the Global Immersion Program and making this meaningful exchange possible.
Events like these are a true testament to how we stay true to our mission of fostering the development and growth of professionals and students in the energy industry.
