We gathered October 23rd at the Houstonian Hotel in Houston for our Annual General Assembly—an inspiring event uniting IAPGH directors, members, sponsors, and partners. Notable attendees included Consul General of Argentina in Houston, Mrs. Maria Cristina Tosonotti.
Emilio Acin Daneri, the outgoing president, provided a presentation summarizing the ending term’s activities and achievements, highlighting the Argentinian President Fernandez & Cabinet luncheon and the 3rd Argentina Shale Day Conference, both hosted in September 2022. This year, we hosted a breakfast with Argentina’s Energy Secretary in March and a series of events in May during the #OTC, including the Uruguay/Argentina Offshore conference and the traditional OTC cocktail.
We continued our work in awarding and renewing a total of 14 scholarships, pertaining to our Claudio Manzolillo and Comisión Fulbright Argentinaprograms, where over 65 applications were received.
We are proud of and thankful for the renewed commitment from our sponsors, making possible the organization of the forums and the awarding of the scholarships.
Finally, the Board slate for the 2023-24 period was elected, with Mrs. María Marta Miná as the new President.
A special recognition was presented to Mr. Miguel Di Vincenzo, who for over 20 years has been a key part of the IAPGH success story.
We look forward to a new term full of challenges for the Argentine energy industry. We maintain our confidence in remaining the preferred platform for governments and Energy corporate leaders keen on advancing their initiatives in Argentina and the United States.
